Unfortunately, the only 3rd party remotes that I'm aware of working are the Logitech Harmony remotes (which can be updated), and some other high-end programmable remotes. The manufacturer of the remote has specific (and sometimes limited) code banks for their remotes. Otherwise, I'd recommend getting a replacement remote control from www. They would be the one to ask for compatibility with specific models.
